Before and After School Clubs

At Baines’ Endowed Church of England Primary Academy and Nursery our aim is to support our families as best we can. In order to help with childcare, our provision offers wrap around care from 7.45 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. Monday to Friday. This is available for all children who attend School.

Early Birds - Breakfast Club

Early Birds is our Breakfast Club. It starts at 7.45 a.m. and runs until school starts at 8:45 a.m.

Whilst in Breakfast Club your child will be provided with a breakfast and will have the opportunity to socialise and play with other children before school starts.

Activities are planned for each day and include themed activities, depending on the time of year.

Bridges - After School Club

Bridges is our After School Club. Bridges starts at 3.15 p.m. and closes at 5:30 p.m.

Whilst in Afterschool Club your child will be provided with a small snack. These may include sandwiches, sausage rolls, hot dogs, crisps or a biscuit and a drink.

The After School club plans a range of different activities from crafts to sporting challenges. The children have access to a wide range of resources and equipment and can select what they would like to do. Themed activities are planned depending on the time of year.

Staff

Early Birds and Bridges are staffed by Baines’ Endowed permanent member of staff, who know your children well, as they work with them throughout each day. All staff are DBS checked and within our Before and After School Team we have staff who are First Aid trained, so parents can rest assured that their children are being well cared for.

Places in both Early Birds and Bridges are limited and will be available on a first come, first serve basis. A waiting list is created for those that wish to attend and as soon as the place becomes available, contact will be made.

Whilst our aim is to support our families, we are unable to offer adhoc places due to the need to ensure that we are adequately staffed and do not exceed our total number of pupils.

Since our main aim is to ensure that all pupils are safeguarded whilst in our care, we ask that parents/carers book their place one week in advance and give one month’s notice if they choose to cease attending. Payment for a place must be made in advance at the start of each half term.
